Project Background

We invited residents, businesses and visitors to share their thoughts on transport, parking and open spaces in Woodville West. We want to check in with local residents, business owners and visitors to learn about what’s working well and what could be improved for the future.

Feedback has helped us understand if any improvements for Woodville West are needed, where we can determine appropriate priorities and budgets for future projects.

Priorities in 2026/27

What we heard

Having regard to the community feedback received from all the different engagement activities, the following key themes have been identified. You can read and refer to the full engagement summary with more results, available in the document library.

Open Spaces & Places

  • More seating and shade, near bus stops, and along pedestrian routes.
  • Amenities that support people living with a disability (ie. Toilets smoother path connections and clearer crossings at key destinations and activity nodes)
Safety
  • Address safety concerns (particularly after dark through improved lighting and visibility).
  • Uneven footpaths creating trip harzards.
  • Safe crossing points along busy streets.
  • Parked cars causing visibiltiy issues.
