Council Meeting Update

25 February 2026

Jubilee Reserve Overhead

On Monday night, Council endorsed a draft Master Plan concept for Jubilee Reserve as the preferred design to progress to the next stage.

This decision allows the project to:

  • lodge an application with the Federal Government for $5 million in funding
  • commence the next stage of community engagement with the community and site users

The draft concept includes a dedicated senior soccer pitch, upgrades to lighting and facilities, improvements to Club West Lakes, and changes to the layout of existing sporting areas to support shared use and long-term sustainability. Importantly, the senior pitch will remain available for community use when it is not being used for training or games.

What happens next:

Council will now work closely with the community and Jubilee Reserve site user groups to further develop the draft design.

This stage will include more detailed discussions about fencing, lighting, safety, access, parking, landscaping and how the reserve can continue to support shared use and community access. It will also consider suggestions raised during earlier engagement, including play and fitness elements.

The next round of community consultation will commence soon. Updates and opportunities to provide feedback will be shared on this page. You can also follow Your Say Charles Sturt to stay informed. Local residents will receive information in their letterbox, and signs will be placed around the reserve to highlight the next stage of consultation.
