Update October 2019

Council endorsed a report on Monday 23 September to accept Peter Walker's sculpture. The full report can be read here. The sculpture will be installed in the coming months.

Consultation has concluded

Feedback is being sought on possible locations at Grange to install Peter Walker's sculpture - Jetty. The artwork is being offered as a gift to Council and in-principle support was recently given to accept this offer.

The artwork is a 6-metre piece of timber which came from the Grange Jetty and was found by the artist Peter Walker by chance when walking along Grange Beach in 1999. The ladder forms are made of Redgum and stainless steel.

The locations proposed are both south of the Grange Jetty cafe and are in close proximity of the Grange jetty. Photos of both locations are available in the fact sheet in the document library.

The offer is seen as an opportunity to display more public art within the City of Charles Sturt and it also adds to the existing collection of public art pieces along the coast.

You can have your say about the locations be completing the survey.
