Consultation Outcomes & Council Report

8 October 2026

Thank you to everyone who shared feedback on the Woodville South Traffic Safety Improvements.

View the outcomes snapshot on the project page or you can view the complete Community Engagement Summary Report available in our document library.

We heard support for improving road safety, alongside mixed views about the proposed treatments and concerns about pedestrian safety, parking, access, intersection visibility and through traffic. Updated traffic monitoring has also helped refine the proposed response.

The recommendation includes:

  • lower-impact measures for the Glen Streets
  • using radar speed feedback signs instead
  • further investigation and design work for pedestrian safety and traffic calming improvements on Oval Avenue
  • T and L parking line marking where appropriate to clarify parking and improve driveway access and intersection sightlines
  • and continued advocacy to the Department for Infrastructure and Transport regarding the Oval Avenue/Port Road and Findon Road intersections.
