Reserve completion

Both reserves are on track for being completed late March 2026.

Public Art

We have commissioned two artists in partnership with Guildhouse following an expression of interest process to create new artworks for these reserves. A new sculpture will be installed in the Drayton Street Reserve and a pathway mural will be installed in the Chief Street reserve.

Look out for the new artworks which will be installed between April and June 2026.

Community Land Management Plans

It was previously expected that we would undertake a community engagement process to establish Community Land Management Plans (CLMPs) for the two new pocket parks. It has been confirmed by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport that this is not required for these parcels of land.

Reserve Naming

These two new pocket parks are now known as Drayton Street Reserve and Chief Street Reserve. This follows our reserve naming policy where reserves take on the street name.
