Background Information

At Council’s meeting of Monday 23 September 2019, (view report here) Council resolved to undertake community consultation with respect to a proposal to vary the current licence agreement held by the Henley Football Club within the Henley and Grange Memorial Oval.

Henley Football Club has been successful in gaining State government funding for the construction of a unisex change room facility, planned to be constructed south of the current clubrooms (click here to view map). The club currently has five female teams participating in the SANFL and the current change room facilities at the Oval are unable to accommodate both male and female changeroom areas.

Henley Football Club currently hold a licence to occupy the area of the current clubroom building, this licence is due to expire on 14 March 2025. It is proposed the portion of land upon which the unisex changeroom facilities will be constructed will be alienated from community land status by a variation to that licence agreement - view proposed location in Document Library below.

A report will be presented to the Council meeting on Monday 25 November 2019, the Agenda &
Report will be available after 4:00pm on Thursday 21 November 2019 - to view the Agenda click here.
