Charles Sturt is supporting community health and wellbeing.

The South Australian Public Health Act 2011 commenced in 2012, introducing a new requirement for Councils to develop Public Health Plans. Its main aim is to promote and protect public health and reduce the incidence of preventable illness, injury and disability in South Australia

We have prepared a draft and now need your help to refine our very first Public Health Plan. There are a number of ways you can get involved.

You can:

Much of the work that Council does has direct influence on our community’s health and wellbeing. Council’s Community Plan and Corporate Plan contain many strategies and actions that will influence the health and wellbeing of our community. The draft Public Health Plan collates these strategies and actions, considers the priorities of the State Public Health Plan and identifies associated administrative actions specific to Charles Sturt.
