Draft Arts & Culture Plan

What is Arts & Culture?

Arts and culture is the ways people create, share and experience creativity, from everyday participation through to professional practice. In this plan they are broadly understood as creative expression, shared experiences, stories, spaces and everyday participation - and not limited to specific art forms or cultural backgrounds.

What is the Draft Arts & Culture Plan?

The plan sets out how the City of Charles Sturt will support Arts and Culture to help deliver the Community Vision of being "a place to call home, a place where we belong".

The plan is designed to ensure creativity in Charles Sturt is visible, accessible and part of everyday life - and that our local investment delivers cultural, social and place outcomes. Implementation will be staged over time, with priorities evolving based on capacity, partnerships and opportunity.

Success means creativity is visible, accessible, and part of everyday life - not something people have to work hard to connect with or seek out.
