Terms and Conditions of the My Inclusive City Competition

1. The promoter of this competition is the City of Charles Sturt (Council).

2. Council accepts no liability for loss, damage and injury whatsoever which may occur out of or in relation to participating.

3. This competition is open to any person under the age of 18.

4. All entrants must have signed permission from their Parent/Guardian.

5. Family members of City of Charles Sturt employees, volunteers or contractors are not eligible to enter the competition.

6. Only one entry per person is allowed.

7. The competition commences on 22 July 2025 and closes on 15 September 2025.

8. There are two categories of entry: Primary School (years 1-6) and High School (year 7 and above) age categories. Entries can be submitted in the following ways, with completed Entry Form attached:
(a) Uploaded directly to https://www.yoursaycharlessturt.com.au/access-incl...
(b) Emailed to the Coordinator Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at
bskinner@charlessturt.sa.gov.au
(c) Physical entries sent to The City of Charles Sturt My Inclusive City competition, PO Box 1,
Woodville SA 5011, or dropped off at a library service counter.

9. All entrants will receive a certificate of participation via email.

10. The City of Charles Sturt will appoint a panel of judges to select winners. The decision of the panel of judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

11. There are five (5) prizes in the My Inclusive City competition:

(a). Two (2) gift certificates of $50 each will be awarded to the most outstanding entries in
the Primary School category.

(b). Two (2) gift certificates of $50 each will be awarded to the most outstanding entries in the High School category.

(c). One (1) gift certificate of $50 will be awarded as a special Inclusion Champion prize to the entry (from either category) deemed to best reflect the theme of inclusivity.

12. The City of Charles Sturt will make prizes out to the name listed on the Entry Form. In the event of a group entry winning a prize, only one prize will be awarded. If a winning entry is a group effort, the prize will go to the name on the Entry Form.

13. Personal details are supplied solely for the purpose of consent of use and for the acknowledgement of winners and will not be used for any other purpose without permission. The City of Charles Sturt values privacy but cannot guarantee that personal details will not be identified from the entries received.

14. The City of Charles Sturt is not responsible for the material supplied by entrants as part of the competition. We are entitled to reject any entry at our discretion.

15. Submissions may be collected, stored and edited for use in ongoing promotional documents, displays and publications by the City of Charles Sturt. This could include but is not limited to use on our website, social media, calendars, magazines, newsletters, publishing and reproduction/copying of either all (or components of) the entry and making this available to the public etc. Entries will not be used by Council or supplied to a third party for any other purpose.

16. The signee on the entry form warrants that the submission is the entrant’s own work and has the right and authority to consent to the public display and promotional use of the entry.

17. This constitutes ongoing permission for the City of Charles Sturt to use the submission on multiple occasions at any point in the future. This consent will remain effective until such time as I advise the Council otherwise.

18. Use of participants' entries will be at the sole discretion of the City of Charles Sturt and will not require further express permission of the participant (or participant's parent/guardian).

19. All winners will be notified by October 5, 2025, via email. Winners or their parent/guardian must respond via return email or phone on 8408 1111 by 17 October 2025, to arrange collection of the prize. The prize must be collected in person with the designated parent/guardian present. If the winner fails to respond in this timeframe, then another winner will be chosen.

20. Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes.

21.The results of the competition will be announced on City of Charles Sturt Facebook page by 31 October 2025. Names or identifying details of winners will not be shared publicly without prior consent (there is no obligation for winners to consent to any such request from the City of Charles Sturt).
