Join us to think about what makes your neighbourhood great, and ways to make it even better.

There are lots of things we can do. We can:

Celebrate the rich culture and history of your neighbourhood
Help local businesses grow
Plant more trees so the area is greener and cooler
Make local parks and streets more attractive to play and spend time
Bring community together through fun activities and events

After that, we will take a look at everyone's ideas and firm up projects for this neighbourhood.

What you have told us

We recently asked a sample of residents what they like about their neighbourhood, what could be better and what's most important to them. Around 280 residents shared their views.

We heard that people value their neighbourhood and want to see improvements that make the local area greener, safer, easier to walk around and have nicer places to spend time.

The things we heard most often were:

More trees and greenery
People want greener streets, more shade and attractive public spaces.

Safer streets
Road safety, slowing cars and feeling safe when walking around the neighbourhood are important.

Better places to walk
People want good footpaths and easier, safer connections to the places they use.

Clean and well-cared-for neighbourhoods
Residents told us the way streets, parks and public spaces look and feel makes a big difference.

Events and activities to connect with people
People said they love events and festivals (music, arts, multicultural), sport and recreation programs, and family friendly activities and opportunities to connect and get to know one another.
