North West Corridor Transport Study

Consultation has concluded

Connecting people to places...

People travel daily to access jobs, health services, education and social activities. Travel and access are a vital component of our quality-of-life. Effective transport networks contribute to the sustainability and amenity of our communities.

The draft North West Corridor Transport Study updates the two previous city-wide traffic and transport strategies prepared by Council in 2005 and 2006 for the North-West Corridor area. It responds to future population growth and associated travel demand for the corridor between the Bowden and Woodville stations and surrounded by Port Road, Woodville Road, Torrens Road and Park Terrace.

  • I hope you keep the beautiful Green belt that is in the middle of Port Road. Councils seem to be reckless in felling trees on a whim, Rundle Mall is case in point. The Natural Values that the trees provide gives shelter to birds and absorbs our carbon and is most aesthetically pleasing as you are driving down the Port Road. Please have long vision and protect our biodiversity and leave the Green Belt as it is. You can put more seats there so people can enjoy the space as it is a very important part of that whole region. It makes the drive to and fro worthwhile.

Thank you for your comments related to the North West Corridor. We have included these in our consultation submissions on the project. Also - sincere apologies for the lateness of our reply Ingrid!
