The City of Charles Sturt used community input from local residents and businesses together with consultants to develop a Concept Plan for the Bartley Terrace Streetscape upgrade.

The project is a road safety initiative being undertaken in the West Lakes Shore area. We consider it vital that a plan is prepared to address road safety concerns along the length of the road.

In May 2015 a streetscape upgrade plan was developed. We have now refined the plan based on community feedback and are seeking your final comments.

  • Unfortunately I will be interstate so will be unable to attend the open day. In the last few years and up until recently council has spent a lot of time and money landscaping Bartley Tce, a great improvement. What is going to happen to all of that work, will it be retained?

Tony asked over 3 years ago

Thanks for your question Tony. Council to try and maintain as much of the recent landscape as possible and preliminary design work has emphasised that requirement.

In certain areas, such as near bus stops and where protected turning on Bartley Terrace is proposed, some existing landscaping may be removed. Any lost landscape will be replaced as work occur over the next 10 years or so.

    Cheers - Michael
